The Gretsch Broadkaster GKKT-E403-093 brings classic Gretsch styling and vintage-inspired shell construction together in a compact 3-piece configuration. Finished in striking Ruby Red Pearl Nitron, this USA-made Broadkaster shell pack features a 12x8 rack tom, 14x14 floor tom, and 20x14 bass drum.
Broadkaster drums are built in Gretsch's Ridgeland, South Carolina factory using thin 3-ply North American maple/poplar/maple shells. An interior-ply scarf joint adds structural integrity while maintaining the lightweight, resonant construction that defines the Broadkaster series. The interiors receive Gretsch's traditional Silver Sealer finish, while roundover bearing edges provide increased head-to-shell contact for the deep, warm character associated with vintage Gretsch drums.
The rack and floor tom feature Gretsch 302 double-flanged steel hoops. Inspired by the company's vintage Stick Chopper hoops, the heavier-gauge 302 design provides durability while allowing a more open response than traditional die-cast hoops. The 20x14 bass drum is undrilled, preserving the clean appearance of the shell and making this configuration especially well suited for players who prefer mounting the rack tom from a stand.
