Condition & Build Quality

This drum is in Ecellent condition, showing minimal signs of use with very few, if any, noticeable dings or blemishes. It has been displayed on our showroom floor at West Coast Drum Shop since February 2026, and as such shows light stick marks and fingerprints consistent with in-store handling, but no structural damage or issues affecting performance.

All hardware components are fully functional, with smooth and reliable operation across the Dunnett R5 throw-off and tensioning hardware. The shell is true and round, and the bearing edges are clean, sharp, and well-maintained, ensuring proper head seating and consistent tuning. The drum retains its original construction features, including Dunnett double-edge/double-flange hoops and a high-gloss lacquer finish that presents cleanly.

The acacia shell with reinforcement hoops contributes to both durability and tonal consistency, while the LA Camco-style bearing edges offer a slightly rounded profile that supports a controlled, musical response.
