This snare drum is a Maple/Poplar shell, made in Stone's "Niles" 5-ply construction style. This drum is deep in tone and is reminiscent of Slingerland's vintage snares made of similar materials. Expect this to perform similarly to a Maple snare drum, but with a drier sustain. This drum has been out on the road and has a few scratches in the chrome and some minor dents in the shell. Other than these, the drum is functioning just fine.
