Designed in cooperation with Steve Gadd, this 5.5x14 snare offers crisp articulation, excellent projection, and the reliable consistency professional drummers expect from Yamaha.

The 1.2mm stainless steel shell features an outward center bead, a design choice that helps create a more open sound with crisp, articulate response. Stainless steel gives this drum a bright, cutting voice with strong sensitivity, making it a great choice for players who want extra presence, definition, and snap from a metal snare.

The RLS-1455 is equipped with 2.3mm DynaHoops, 10 one-piece lugs, Yamaha’s heavy-duty Q-type throw-off, and a DC3 butt plate. The 5.5" depth keeps the drum quick and responsive while still providing enough body for studio, live, and all-purpose professional use.
