Tama SLP 5.5" x 14" Vintage Hammered Steel Snare Drum

The hammered 1.2mm steel shell and 2.3mm Sound Arc hoops offers darkened and focused overtones. The final effect is deeper and more complex tonality than you might expect from a steel-shelled snare drum of 5.5 inches. This drum gets fat and explosive in lower tunings, and articulate at a higher tension. The tube lugs keep resonance at a maximum and the satin finish sets this drum apart from other steel snare drums, including Tama's updated "expressive" hammered steel model.
