The drum features Ludwig’s iconic smooth brass shell with a black nickel finish, delivering the powerful projection, rich low-end body, crisp articulation, and musical overtones that have made the Black Beauty one of the most celebrated snare drums ever produced.

This example is equipped with 10 Imperial lugs and a die-cast batter hoop, which adds focus, attack, and tuning stability while producing a strong, authoritative rimshot. The installed Evans Hybrid batter head provides exceptional durability with a firm and articulate response.
