Used Pearl Export Series 12x9 DIY Mountable Snare/Tom “Snom” - Ruby Fade

This used Pearl Export Series 12x9 drum has been modified by a previous customer into a versatile mountable snare/tom hybrid, commonly referred to as a “snom.” It can be used as a compact auxiliary snare or disengaged for use as a conventional rack tom.

The 12x9 size produces more body and depth than a traditional snare drum while retaining a responsive attack and distinctive snare character. Mounted alongside a standard kit, it can provide a low, punchy auxiliary snare voice for backbeats, accents, and creative effects. With the snares turned off, it offers the fuller resonance and melodic character of a 12-inch tom.

The drum features Pearl’s Ruby Fade finish and is equipped with mounting hardware for integration into a compatible tom or percussion setup.

This drum was modified by a customer and not by West Coast Drum Shop or the Pearl factory. The conversion is a DIY modification, and the workmanship, component placement, and overall configuration may differ from a factory-produced instrument.
