Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 18"
Istanbul Agop 18" 30th Anniversary Crash Cymbal
The Istanbul Agop 18" 30th Anniversary Crash Cymbal, model 30TH18, is a handcrafted Turkish cymbal built around the traditional techniques that define Istanbul Agop's 30th Anniversary Series. Thin in weight and highly responsive, this crash delivers a fast attack, quick decay, and a dark, complex wash with a controlled trashy character.
Each 30th Anniversary cymbal receives extensive hand hammering and Istanbul Agop's distinctive pre-aging treatment, giving every cymbal its own individual appearance and tonal character. Variations in hammering, lathing, coloration, and surface texture are part of the handmade construction.
The 18" size offers a versatile balance of quick response and broad wash, making it well suited as a primary crash, secondary crash, or lighter crash/ride voice. Its thin construction opens easily at lower dynamics while retaining enough complexity and projection for more energetic playing.
